Remember The Physical Benefits of Quitting Smoking To Help You Quit

Awareness Posters

When awareness groups want people to quit smoking, they will usually print posters that include horror stories. You'll often see old women with huge goiters sticking out of their necks that they got from years of smoking. Or you'll see old men with really leathery skin, with yellow eyes and no teeth. These scary images are what you could end up with if you continue to smoke. These, while they may be exaggerated, really seem to hit home and they'll cause even the most die hard smoker to put out their butt. These types of awareness posters can be used to remind yourself of the physical benefits of quitting smoking. Then, whenever you feel like having a cigarette, pull one of these posters out of your wallet or keep one in your back pocket to repress that feeling.

Visit Nursing Homes

Nursing homes are notorious for having people who have spent their whole lives smoking. These people are frail and of ill health. You can volunteer at one of these homes or just make a visit with someone who has a family member in one of these facilities to see the physical benefits of quitting smoking. If you don't want to end up like one of the people who can't breath on their own or who are riddled with cancer because they just couldn't quit, this will surely make you quit any way you can.

Millions of people die of slow and painful deaths every year as result of smoking all of their lives.  Many of them can't bear to go on living.  This doesn't have to happen to you.  You can reap the rewards of quitting smoke.  These will be improved physical health and a longer healthier life.
